Jaanam Samjha Karo

Chandni (Urmila Matondkar), a lower classed talented night club singer and dancer, who happens to be religious, and well mannered, lives an unfortunate life with her three aunts, who dominate her life, and with a weak maternal grandmother. She Dances for a Living because it is the only way she can support her poor family and she hopes to give her nieces an education.

One night while singing she meets Rahul (Salman Khan), a young wealthy womanizer, and falls in love with him. Rahul feels attracted to her but he does not take her seriously. He intends to treat her just like any of his other girlfriends, and wants to have only a short affair. Many times they get into fights, and become friends again. In one scene she rejected his gift, which was a TV after he tried to give her a kiss. She feels as if he keeps following her. But later on in the movie, she was stuck alone in London being chased by an old Indian pervert who tricked her into his car since she was stuck outside the Indian embassy. She ran out the car after the old man tried to touch her and was coincidently saved by Rahul. Rahul invited her to stay at his rather luxurious hotel.

One day however his dadaji (Shammi Kapoor), wants him to get married to her. In order to fool him, Rahul asks Chandni to pretend to be his real-life wife, which she accepts to do. After Dadaji leaves, Rahul and Chandni go their separate ways after a fight in which Rahul slaps chandni.

However, Rahul realizes that he has fallen in love with her. He follows her to India from London. He goes to her home and asks to speak to Chandi, but she doesn't want to speak to him back. So he yells out in front of her home saying that he is sorry and he loves her, while a crowd gathers. His ex-friend comes with a gang and they get into a fight. When Rahul is almost about to murder his ex friend, Chandi comes out and tells him to not ruin his life by killing Harry.

He then proposes to her, and Chandi wants to except, but she promised her scary looking manager that she will move to another city with him and open a bar, so she rejects to proposal. The manager who was cold-blooded throughout the movie feels as if he has witnessed true love and starts to be nice for a change and lets Chandni go. Chandni accepts his proposal to marry him. The film ends in a hug.
